WESTSIDE for BERNIE: What to do this Weekend

The final push is underway for Get Out the Vote weekend for the Bernie Sanders campaign here in California. There are countless ways to get involved over the next few days. You can search through dozens of events on the campaign’s mobilization site here, and the Bernie Sanders Los Angeles team has asked me to highlight and invite Westsiders (and anyone else!) to several special or priority events, from canvasses to group marches to the polls, to a big rally with the candidate himself this weekend!

Check out the links below to high priority and high profile events to get engaged during these final days before Super Tuesday.

SUNDAY RALLY with BERNIE

Please join Bernie for a big, energetic pre-election rally this Sunday at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Bernie will be joined by Sarah Silverman, and Dick Van Dyke, with a special performance by Public Enemy Radio. The event will be at the Los Angeles Convention Center, South Hall GHJ, 1201 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90015. Doors open at 3:00 p.m. and the event starts at 5:00 p.m. You can RSVP here.

MARCH TO THE POLLS

March to the Polls in Venice: 10 am SATURDAY

Join Team Bernie and Councilmember Mike Bonin as we march to the polls to cast our ballots for Bernie! We’ll meet at Windward Plaza and make our way to the voting center together. Bring your friends, bring your ballots, and let’s march our way to victory for Bernie! Meet at Windward Plaza, 1 Windward Plaza, at 10 am. RSVP here.

March to the Polls with Josh Rush at Santa Monica College: 11 am Monday

Join Councilmember Mike Bonin, campaign surrogate Josh Rush and Students for Bernie SMC as we march to the polls and cast our ballots for Bernie! We’ll start at the Santa Monica College Quad and make our way to the voting center together. Bring your friends, bring your ballots, and let’s march our way to victory for Bernie! Meet at 11 a.m. at Santa Monica College Quad, 1900 Pico Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90405. RSVP here.

March to the Polls with Josh Rush at Loyola Marymount University: 1 pm Monday

Join Councilmember Mike Bonin, campaign surrogate Josh Rush and LMU Students for Bernie as we march to the polls to cast our ballots for Bernie! We’ll meet at the Alumni Mall and make our way to the voting center together. Bring your friends, bring your ballots, and let’s march our way to victory for Bernie! We’ve hit our goals on the Westside and now it’s time to journey to other parts of town to help our sisters and brothers Get Out the Vote! You can caravan or carpool from the following Westside launch spots.
